Bringing a more authentic experience to your rowing, the Adidas R-21 Water Rower features a water-based resistance system, which gives a more traditional feel and sound when rowing indoors. With a self-generating power unit and 7 water levels to choose from, the R-21 allows you to intensify your rowing experience for a greater challenge and better results.

Designed with a self-generating power unit, you are the one that creates energy and powers the R-21’s console, while the waters natural resistance does all the rest. No need for a power adapter, tangled wires or restrictive plug sockets, you have the power and freedom to train anywhere in your home.

The R-21's unique water tank has been designed to reproduce the precise physical dynamics of a moving boat; the surest way to replicate the physiological benefits and aesthetic pleasure of rowing.

Like rowing, the R-21 does not apply resistance to you, you apply work to it; you are the engine! By the “rule of cubes”, the amount of work you apply dictates the speed at which you row. Because water is 800 times more dense than the air, the more work you do, the more resistance/drag you can overcome and the faster you move.

The adjustable LCD screen provides all the live performance metrics you need including, speed, time, distance, calories, strokes per minute and time/500m. The included chest strap also feeds accurate heart rate data back to the console so you can track your progress.

With a convenient tablet and smartphone holder built into the console, you can watch your favourite movies while you row.

Fitted with a densely padded saddle, the rower's seat is made for a more comfortable training position for longer rowing sessions. It also features footplate height and strap adjustments to ensure the rower is perfectly suited to your requirements.

The R-21 features built-in transport wheels, that make it easier to move the rower around your home whenever you wish.

With the supplied chest strap you can monitor your heart rate and receive accurate data on your performance, so you can track your progress.

The rowing stroke uses 84% of the Muscle Mass and is able to burn over 1000 calories per hour. From the tips of the fingers holding the handle/oars, to the balls of the feet connected to the footboard/boat, all the muscles between these two points contribute to the rowing stroke.

There is no jerkiness or jarring which is often associated with conventional mechanical rowing machines making the exercise unpleasant; only smooth even load, kind to the body, and relaxing to the mind.
